Horizon (NaPoWriMo day 6)

imageif you closed your eyes
to the confusion in your midst
you could
open your heart
to the promise of our love
and if you dared
to let the drama fall away
you might
realize that darkness comes
most often heavily before the dawn
then if you could bear
to let the burden be shared
by someone whose strength
is magnified by your trust in her
you may come to see
that sometimes
one plus one
equals INFINITY
so if you gathered up
your faith in me
sprinkled with uncertainty though it may be
then pour that into all i know we can be
maybe just maybe
you might open your eyes
and witness
the sun
coming up over
the horizon
